My question is with some of the wildcats out there with little or no data how are some of you developing safe loads without the proper pressure measuring devices.

I had high hopes for this process but it was not precise for me. Some measured even less than the starting size. Some fired cases within the same load range would show no increase in size and others more than than recommended. I found it hard to accurately measure the case head in the same place and get repeatable figures. He suggested measuring case head expansion as a way of noting hot loads. I just recently also tried what James Calhoon the designer of the 19 caliber mentioned in his article about Primers and Pressure.

I know myself with reloading manual loads I always start low working my way up to listed velocities while looking at primers and noting bolt lift. I know here on saubier there are a lot of wildcats being built some more common and some very unique ones of peoples own design. I just emailed them to see if they have anymore loads in the works. Garin at this time on their website has limited data for powder and bullets. I recently got a CZ527 done as a switch-barrel in 17 and 20 Garin the round based on the 30 Carbine case.
